It’s been so cold and windy here the past few days, I’ve been spending a lot of time in the kitchen experimenting and playing. It’s been a lot of fun, I cooked up an awesome dinner for my sweet husband last night, and so far I’ve made 2 different kinds of crackers. I’m probably going to make more graham crackers today, I haven’t made some in a while and they’re always a big hit!
I got the book Jam It, Pickle It, Cure It by Karen Solomon (you can find it here on Amazon!) for my birthday last year, and I love making things in it! The marshmallow recipe is far better than Martha’s, and the mayonnaise is awesome. I’m going to try the strawberry jam recipe when I get in the strawberries I’ve order from my big boy’s school. The crackers are yet another awesome recipe in the book. I’ve made 2 kinds so far, a simple black pepper cracker (that’s what’s in the large jar) and some cheesy ones as well.
These are the cheesy crackers I made, I made them all fancy and round! Next time, more cheese and cayenne pepper to make them taste a little more like those fabulous cheese straws!
