Creative Cleanse

Creative Cleanse

This week, I’m following along with Katelyn Brooke and her creative cleanse. Doesn’t that sound like I’m cleaning out my studio? Ha! I only wish…

If you click the link, you can see Kate explain what is going on. For me, it means that this week, I’m taking the time I would usually spend reading blogs and cruising Pinterest on creating something. Exploring an idea I have been holding on to, cooking something, creating something with the boys, just using those moments instead of looking around at what others have done.

It’s only Wednesday, and I have to constantly remind myself not to cruise…but I think it’s going well! Monday I made these adorable little linen Easter eggs!

Tuesday was not quite so productive, as my Grandmother and I took my long-arm quilting machine to be repaired. She will be down for about 2 weeks….which is so sad to me! (Especially since I have quilts to quilt!!) But, we did get to visit on of my favorite quilt stores in the process, and I got lots of inspiration and saw many lovely fabrics!

Today, I’m focusing on a few design projects I have. I’m still in the InDesign 101 class at Nicole’s Classes, and this week we’re making books! I’m enjoying this class so much, and this week’s work is more than we’ve done before. I also have a few design items to complete for my wonderful husband as well!

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for me. And to be honest, I think I’m going to keep up the creative cleanse until I get my long-arm back. Who knows, I might be able to complete projects that I thought would have to wait until my little boys go off to school in the fall!
